IMPERIAL NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE

Home to a variety of animal species, countless plant species and a wintering haven for bird life, Imperial Wildlife Refuge is an undiscovered desert sanctuary. It is located along the Colorado River near Yuma. Laced with braided channels before emptying into the Gulf of California, the river supports a large complex of riparian habitat.
