Its beauty is evident; its species is numerous; its colors are artistically blended. Larkspur is abundant in valleys, foothills, dry ridges and mountain slopes. Delicate spikes of blue, purple and pink bloom from early spring through summer. Although poisonous to cattle, elk, and domestic sheep they find these plants appetizing.
