Hagerman Pass

Drenched in a brilliant orange sunset, panoramic Hagerman Pass lies above the upper Fryingpan Valley. The pass, near Leadville, reaches 11,925 feet at its summit. Hagerman, president of Colorado Midland Railroad, blasted a tunnel through the underlying mountain linking Colorado Springs and Aspen during the late 1800's.
