At Green River Overlook, the vastness of Canyonlands is displayed. As darkened thunderclouds gather, this rugged austere country is accentuated with imaginative sandstone formations. Water dictates the pace of erosion by undercutting cliffs, peeling away sandstone layers and carving incredible canyons. This action can happen quickly by floods or gradually over many years.
