GRINNELL VALLEY

Located in the magnificent Grinnell Valley, this turquoise lake was referred to as "Lake Louise" in early days of the park. The Blackfeet Indians called it, "Jealous Woman's Lake." Its shoreline edged with blue-green subalpine fir and dotted by blooming beargrass, Josephine Lake enhances Mount Gould in a setting of perfect grandeur.
