SHORT-TAILED WEASEL

Curiously, a weasel pops its head up from behind a rock, then quickly disappears. Short-tailed weasels sport brown coats with cream-colored undersides in summer. When winter arrives, their coats turn pure white (ermine) except for the black-tipped tail.
