NORTH RIM

As a spring storm passes, the sun once again appears over the Grand Canyon at Cape Royal. Averaging a mile in depth, this vast Canyon has been carved into the Kaibab Plateau over millions of years. Elevations at North Rim range between 7,000 to 9,000 feet. North Rim climate is dramatically different from that of the inner gorge.
