With the onset of subzero temperatures and snow blanketing the sagebrush flats, winter can prove to be strenuous for "the free-ranging pronghorn. Commonly called antelope, pronghorn is distinguished by its large white rump patch and sharp curved prongs. America's swiftest mammal, the pronghorn is capable of maintaining a speed of 60 mph!
