Lake Pend Oreille

At sunset, an illuminated pink sky is reflected upon glowing Lake Pend Oreille. Possessing an abundance of natural features, this glacier-formed lake has a 110-mile shoreline and is more than 1100 feet deep. Once buried under a huge glacial tongue, Lake Pend Oreille was gouged by ice and impounded behind moraines.
