PAYETTE LAKE

Radiant golden poplars accentuate the royal blue water of Payette Lake near McCall. An outdoor paradise, Payette Lake is only one of approximately 130 lakes and 150 streams located within a 35-mile radius of this area. In 1891, Tom McCall built a home along the shore of Payette Lake and thereafter established this prime town site.
