Tetonia

Just after a fresh snowfall is an exhilarating time to experience the countryside near Tetonia. This corridor for winter activity is located along the western side of the Tetons. Early fur traders who frequented this area called it Pierre's Hole, named for a grizzled Iroquois trapper who encountered one skirmish too many with the Blackfeet Indians in 1828.
