Yellowstone Falls

Immense canyon walls and two huge waterfalls of the Yellowstone River make this spectacular view an artist's dream. Thomas Moran, who toured the park in 1871, became celebrated for his landscape paintings. He did a watercolor sketch of this canyon and from that created his famous oil painting, The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.
