Larkspur

Its beauty is deceiving; its species is numerous; its colors are artistically blended. Larkspur is abundant in valleys, foothills, dry ridges and mountain slopes. Delicate spikes of blue, purple and pink bloom from early spring through summer. Although poisonous to cattle, domestic sheep and elk find these plants appetizing.
