The Comstock Era

A spirit that built the Silver State, still lingers in hillsides where some of the country's largest mineral deposits were discovered. It was known as the Comstock Lode, a silver vein that brought lifeblood to Nevada in the Mid-1800's. News of Henry Comstock's claim spread quickly throughout mining camps and soon Virginia City became a boomtown.
