With a fresh dusting of snow on Wheeler Peak and aspens turning gloriously yellow, this spectacular setting is picture perfect. Great Basin is a showcase of past glacial activity. Remnant of the Pleistocene time, a glacier 3000 feet in length extends along the side of Wheeler Peak, which rises to 13,060 feet.
