Yaquina Bay

An incredible pink afterglow illuminates the sky as the artistry of a silhouetted tree and the arched Yaquina Bay Bridge create a picturesque setting. Located near Newport, Yaquina Bay is an active seaport. Historically, this bay was acclaimed for possessing rich, high quality oyster beds. Commercial harvesting which began in 1863 soon depleted these mollusks.
