CRATER LAKE

A remnant of fiery times, Crater Lake possesses brilliant azure-blue water outlined by a stark, partially forested volcanic ruin. No streams or rivers feed Crater Lake; nor do they drain it; only rain and snow supply its water. Set in a crater formed by the collapse of a volcano, this deep lake only half fills the caldera or caldron.
