NATIONAL BISON RANGE

The Bison Range is one of the most beautiful and oldest big game preserves in America. Its conception was primarily the result of the American Bison Society. A Pend d'Oreille Indian, Walking Coyote, captured and brought 4 bison calves from a hunting trip east of the Rockies to Flathead Valley. This helped to establish the Bison Range herd.
