The dynamic Nisqually Glacier extends nearly 2 square miles and is 330 feet deep. This immense ice mass continually gouges and widens the valley. The major composite volcano within the Pacific Northwest, Mount Rainier rose during the last ice age. This steeping monarch provides breathtaking scenery at 14,411 feet.
