Satin white snow blankets Galena Summit as winter arrives for the season. Located within the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, this summit reaches an elevation of 8,701 feet and provides a spectacular panorama of the Sawtooth Mountains. Galena Summit is part of the Sawtooth Scenic Route between Sun Valley and Stanley.
