With boughs freshly frosted with snow, trees create a wintry frame for Notchtop Mountain. Rocky Mountain National Park is a place of dramatic winter weather. Air masses over these high peaks funnel strong mountain winds and drop large amounts of snow. As a result, sunny skies can be transformed into a raging blizzard quite suddenly.
