MORAINE PARK

Lush green plants flourish in the summer sunshine within the meadows of Moraine Park. Originating near the Continental Divide, the Big Thompson River meanders through this valley. Moraine Park was carved by glacial action when two lateral moraines formed its northern and southern boundaries. Glacier-scoured terrain left huge piles of rock debris that are now richly vegetated.
