Trail Ridge

One of the highest paved highways in the nation, Trail Ridge Road winds across a vast tundra plateau to over 12,000 feet. It exposes an alpine world above treeline and spectacular scenic vistas of the Rocky Mountains. This rugged but fragile terrain is a meadowland of wildflowers during the summer months.
