Summer Thunderstorm

As Dream Creek rushes downstream, dark thunder clouds build above Longs Peak. Brief summer showers are a regular occurrence in this high country. Longs Peak rises to 14,259 feet and is the highest peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. Its height makes it a landmark visible from the eastern Colorado plains.
