JUNIPERS

An aged juniper provides a picturesque framing for Sedona's backcountry. Junipers are sprawling shrubs that inhabit rocky soils. Some junipers possess short, twisted trunks with wide-spreading branches that are broken into thin, elongated fibrous scales. As these plants age and finally die, the branching patterns create unique designs.
