Desert wildflowers can change a dry, arid wasteland into a spectacular colorful landscape with just a little rainfall or runoff into an arroyo. Ragged weeds blossom into showy displays such as the musk thistle. This tall, prickly plant with bristles lining its stems produces vibrant reddish-lavendar flower heads that are stunningly beautiful.
