Indian Paintbrush

Brilliant red Indian paintbrush conspicuously colors hillsides when in bloom. It resembles a ragged crimson paintbrush. Partially a parasitic plant, Indian paintbrush establishes its root system by connecting to roots of other plants. For this reason, it is often difficult to grow paintbrush from seed.
