The Cascades

Frosted white from a passing snow-storm, a few wind-blown trees stand resolutely on a ridgetop overlooking the Cascades. The Cascade Range extends from the Fraser River to the Snoqualmie and Yakima Rivers. As viewed on a clear day, the topography of these mountains resembles waves on a stormy sea Ð crests and valleys, whitecaps and vastness.
