ROSS LAKE

Set as a turquoise jewel in the North Cascades, Ross Lake winds through densely forested mountain valleys for 20 miles. The incredible turquoise-colored water is created by suspended minerals scraped from glacial action being transported by rushing streams that feed the lake. This lake is within the Ross Lake National Recreation Area.
