Rocky Mountain National Park

One of the major reasons Rocky Mountain was set aside in 1915 as a national park is its expansive Arctic tundra environment. Often viewed from these fragile alpine meadows on Trail Ridge, the Never Summer Range provides an incredible panorama. These mountains form the park's western border.
