CRATER LAKE NATIONAL PARK

A weathered snag stands starkly against the striking of royal-blue water of Crater Lake. Outlined by a partially forested volcanic rim, this crater is so deep that the water only half fills it. The lake has a depth of 1,932 feet. Not only is it the deepest lake in the US, but also 7th deepest in the world.
