INDIAN PAINTBRUSH

Resembling a ragged, scarlet-tipped paintbrush, this colorful flower grows in mountain meadows. It blooms between May and September from the lowest valleys to about 9,000 feet. Paintbrush attach themselves to roots of other plants making them difficult to transplant or grow from seed.
