CRIMSON COLUMBINE

Hummingbirds delight in stealing nectar from crimson columbine. Nectar is stored in yellow, rimmed undersides that have scalloped openings shaped like sugar scoops. This delicate flower, whose Latin name means doves, is artistically designed with petals and sepals to resemble a circle of doves drinking at a dish.
