Short-Tailed Weasel

Curiously, a weasel pops its head up from behind a rock, and then quickly disappears. Short-tailed weasels sport brown coats with cream-colored undersides in summer. When winter arrives, their coats turn pure white (ermine) except for the black-tipped tail. An expert mouser, short-tails shriek with a shrill voice when seizing prey.
