Chief Mountain

Rolling hillsides of golden aspen accentuate the dramatic rise of Chief Mountain. Located in the northeastern section of Glacier Park near the Canadian border, Chief Mountain stands as a geological landmark which early mapmakers named, "King Mountain." On his trip into this area in 1806, Captain Meriwether Lewis called it, "Tower Mountain."
