PILOT PEAK

Located in Shoshone National Forest on the Wyoming-Montana border, the 11,708 ft. Pilot Peak serves as a beacon in the wilderness for travelers. It becomes visible only after crossing Sunlight Basin. A little snow on the flanks of Pilot and Index Peaks usually indicates an early winter may be on its way.
