Absaroka Range

Absaroka Range was named for the Absaroka Indians who lived near these mountains for many years. It is located along the northeastern boundary of Yellowstone National Park near the Sunlight Basin. Known for its outstanding scenic qualities, the Absaroka Range lies within Shoshone National Forest, our nation's first national forest.
