HAYDEN VALLEY

The sweeping panorama of Hayden Valley is experienced as the Yellowstone River widens into a broad meander. This magnificent valley is an excellent place to encounter large herds of bison and view birdlife. It is appropriately named for E.V. Hayden, the person who conducted the first official exploration of Yellowstone in 1871.
