SHOSHONE NATIONAL FORESTBright yellow aspen leaves quiver as a cool autumn breeze sweeps down the sagebrush hillsides. Upon nearing Beartooth Pass on the Montana-Wyoming border within Shoshone National Forest, Pilot Peak at 11,708 ft. becomes visible. This pinnacle-shaped mountain serves as a beacon in the wilderness. |
