Medicine Bow PeakGlacially carved, Medicine Bow Peak is the most prominent mountain in the Snowy Range. It rises to an elevation of 12,013 feet. The rock is composed of white quartzite which was thrust upward millions of years ago. The Snowy Range exists as a large quartzite crest atop the Medicine Bow plateau. |
