TONTO NATIONAL FOREST

The rugged desert country within Ton to National Forest bursts into bloom in the springtime. Foothills of the Mazatzal Mountains are literally carpeted with owl clover and other arrays of desert wildflowers. Rising to over 7,600 feet, the Four Peaks enhance this impressive setting. Tonto National Forest is located northeast of Phoenix and extends 2.9 million acres.
