COLORADO NATIONAL MONUMENT

As a dramatic thunderstorm moves across Colorado National Monument, the large sandstone pillars are highlighted by beams of sunlight. Nature is hard at work on this area removing grain after grain of sand as it fashions monoliths, caves, spires and canyons. Entombed with dinosaur remains dating over 100 million years ago, this unique landscape is filled with geologic history.
