MOUNT JACKSONFramed by brilliant yellow cotton-woods, Mt. Jackson looms over the valley to a height of 10,023 ft. The mountain is composed of tilted strata of the Siyeh Formation and Jackson Glacier lies to the east of the mountain. These stratified rock patterns become more evident when early fall snows dust the mountain. |
