GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK

At first glance, this appears to be an ominous spring storm. However, it is an excellent demonstration of the forces of nature. Water from the storm will wash decaying nutrients from the log into the soil; plant roots will absorb the nutrients and eventually release moisture back into the atmosphere.
