Redfish Lake

The majestic Sawtooth Range provides an impressive backdrop for Redfish Lake. Described by old timers as water teaming with redfish, this lake was named for the incalculable numbers of spawning salmon it once held. In those days, "...so many fish covered the streambeds riders threw rocks ahead of their horses' hooves to scatter fish and clear a path."
