GLACIER NATIONAL PARK

Thousands of years ago, tremendous glaciers were formed on what is now Logan Pass. As snow accumulated and ice compacted year after year, glaciers grew to be hundreds of feet thick. Their scouring movement carved St. Mary Valley to the east and McDonald Valley to the west. Today, this snow and ice majesty is still apparent.
