MAKOSHIKA STATE PARK

For spectacular badlands and unique rock formations, visit Montana's 8,834-acre Makoshika State Park located near the eastern border. It is part of the much larger 56,000-acre Makoshika Badlands that offers similar exotic vegetation, wildlife and outcroppings as found in deserts. Turkey vultures, cacti and dinosaur fossils can be found in this area.
