Trapper Peak

The Bitterroot Range near Hamilton is Montana's longest chain of mountains. It is an enormous drainage area for both sides of the Continental Divide. The rugged terrain encom-passing the Bitterroots contains numerous granite spires. One such spire is Trapper Peak which dominates the skyline at 10,157 feet.
