Birth Of A Flower

Alpine phlox reveals an elegant unfolding when just beginning to blossom. A marvel of nature, it looks as if the flower is being born. Alpine phlox is a relative of the cushion phlox and is found in tundra-like envi-ronments. When in full bloom, it forms a dense mat hugging rocky soils.
