THE CRAZY MOUNTAINS

When, a wagon train of early emigrants crossed the eastern Ivtomana prairies, a pioneer woman went insane. She escaped from the wagon party and was later found near these mountains. After that episode, the mountains were referred to as the Crazy Woman Mountains. Later, the name was shortened to Crazy Mountains.
