LAKE TAHOE

Lake Tahoe is the third deepest lake in North America and contains over 39 trillion gallons of water. It is 1,645 feet deep and has a shoreline of 72 miles. This amount of water would cover an area the size of Nevada to a depth of over 20 inches. If this lake were to empty, it would take 700 years to refill.
